Harry and David finally got back to me about all the catalogs they’ve been sending.

But their answer, like their Celebration Gift Basket, was kind of a mixed bag.

I’d sent them a link to (not so) Sweet Treats – to give them a chance to defend their marketing practices, which include catalog overkill and emotional spyware.
Larry D., (not the co-creator of Seinfeld, presumably) replied:
Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to connect to any links that are sent to us. It appears that you may have a customer service issue and we sincerely want to help resolve it. Harry and David has the strongest guarantee in the business and rest assured there is a group of us here that resolve issues all day long, happily.
Please reply to this post with whatever the issue may be and we will resolve it and hopefully get off your list.
Be sure to provide your full name, address, telephone number and if available, your 10-digit order number.
Best Wishes,
Larry D.

That’s what I love — good customer service. Heck, he even said “get off your list”.
But then, I noticed something at the end of his email:

Status: Solved? Larry, buddy, check your email. We gotta talk.
